Pakistan is that country which is rich in having famous, influential, and sensational personalities. Imran Khan is one them that gems. He has gained a lot of appreciation and attention from youth. Indeed, he is now the role model of Pakistan’s young people.
Imran Khan was born on 25 November, 1952 in Lahore. He belongs to a famous Phuston’s group Niazi. He has given a lot of his services for Pakistan. Whether he, as a cricketer or as a politician, he made the Pakistan to feel proud of him every time. He is a man of attributes, a man of pats, a man of letters and a man of iron. He is very bold and believes in Tauheed and Risaalat. First, he became the player of cricket and then joined politics. He led the Pakistan to the sports world and won cricket world cup for the first time. After his retirement, he decided to go to politics and works for the welfare of humanity and for the prosperity of Pakistan. He joined politics in 1996.
IMRAN KHAN AS A CRICKETER:
Imran Khan Niazi was one of the best all-rounders of his generation. He was right arm fast bowler and a right handed batsman. Imran Khan joined the Pakistan cricket team in 1970’s. He made his Test cricket debut in June 1971 against England, in Edgbaston. In August 1974, he played first ODI match against England at Trent Bridge. Imran Khan played in 88 Tests and 176 ODI’s. Under his captaincy in 1992, Pakistan cricket lifted the trophy of cricket world cup against West Indies.
IMRAN KHAN AS A POLITICIAN/PRIME MINISTER:
PTI, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, was established on April 25, 1996, with Imran Khan assuming the role of chairman. The party’s electoral symbol, “Bat,” was chosen to reflect Khan’s passion for cricket. His motto is, ” Change is not coming, Change has come”. By continuous struggling, after the judicial sentence of incompetence of Nawaz Sharif by Supreme Court of Pakistan, PTI emerges as majority party. In the election of 2018, Imran Khan sworn in as the country’s 22nd prime minister, for the first time, on August 18, 2018. But broke out of Covid-19 in 2020, didn’t let his talents to emerge. The government imposed lockdowns all over the country.
Due to politician grudges, the opposition parties get together and formed PDM against him. As a result, the government of PTI dismissed and Shehbaz Shareef became the prime minister to complete the remaining period. On 9th May, the Pakistan authorities arrested Imran Khan in the Tosha Khana case. Unfortunately, he was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and incompetent for 14 years, on 30th January 2024.
IMRAN KHAN AS A REFORMER:
- He established the single national curriculum in the country. This step helped many poor children to learn equal and high standard education.
- He pioneered the concept of “Health Cards”. With the aid of health cards, individuals are entitled to complimentary medical care at government hospitals, as well as select private hospitals and clinics.
- Additionally, he initiated the development of Kala Bagh Dam. Numerous Pakistanis and Pakistani expatriates generously contributed funds towards this endeavor. Regrettably, the construction of this dam remains unfinished.
