Father:

The father is the male progenitor who is often hailed as the “Super Hero” and “Role model” by his offspring. He assumes the responsibility of ensuring the well-being of his family. Taking care of his family is both his innate and ethical responsibility. He dedicates himself tirelessly throughout the day to ensure his children’s happiness and to fulfill their rightful aspirations, desires, needs, and dreams. Undoubtedly, he serves as a role model for his children.

Bond between Father and his Children:

The bond between a father and his children, especially between a father and his son, is truly special, rewarding, and unparalleled. A father goes above and beyond to ensure that his sons have everything they need, even if it means sacrificing his own wants and preferences. In a world full of challenges and uncertainties, a father’s love and care stand out. He ensures that his children have nutritious meals, stylish clothing, and all the necessary accessories. Fathers make sure to provide their sons with a good education and a conducive environment, drawing from their own experiences of either attending college or not. Their dedication to giving their sons the best opportunities is truly admirable.

Fathers serve as role models and superheroes for their sons. They provide all the necessary resources and opportunities for their sons to enjoy and utilize. The sons hold deep respect and admiration for their fathers, and as they grow older, they begin to take care of them. The qualities and characteristics of fathers are passed down through generations, ensuring that the son becomes just like his father. Fathers are indeed a tremendous blessing from ALLAH ALMIGHTY. Only those who have lacked this experience can truly understand its value.

Gap:

Nowadays, the father-son relationship, also known as the generation gap, is evolving due to the growing disparities in technology exposure and cultural shifts. In today’s society, children constantly engross themselves in their cell phones and other modern mediums, which leaves them little time to spend with their parents. This phenomenon sees young ones absorbed in the latest apps, games, and social media platforms for hours on end, significantly reducing the quality and quantity of time they could otherwise dedicate to family interactions. Parents often find themselves competing with these digital distractions for their children’s attention, struggling to find ways to connect in an increasingly technology-dominated environment. Additionally, the younger generation possesses a more open-minded mindset and desires to live life on their own terms.

STATUS OF FATHER IN ISLAM:

Islam highlights the importance of honoring father’s rights, referring to the father as the key to Paradise and acknowledging the mother as having Heaven under her feet. A widely held belief in Islam views disobeying parents, especially fathers, as a major sin. The religion also strongly advises against expressing any form of frustration in the presence of aging parents. This guidance underscores the deep respect and reverence that Islam mandates towards parents, highlighting the importance of maintaining a harmonious and respectful relationship within the family unit.
