The 39 years old tennis star is playing his 3rd tournament since 2020. Federer is using the tournament matches to improve his fitness for the upcoming Wimbledon.
The star says, he’ll go through the matches and evaluate and look what’s next. Federer seems concerned about his fitness and future tournaments. We’ll see if I should continue to play. Or is it not too much risk to continue playing or take the test, says Federer. Federer had a rough standoff against Koepfer in a grueling match that did lack the quality. Federer was unable to convert any of five break opportunities in the second set, including a set chance in the tenth game, but an unexpected double fault from Koepfer allowed to win the tie-break. However, the grand slam champion looks optimistic yet considerate.
However, Roger Federer might quit the Garros Tournament irrespective of the victory over Koepfer. The Wimbledon title will begin on the 9th of June. Federer will also be playing a warm-up grass-court tournament on the 14th of June. The French Open will continue in night sessions for the first time.
