The Pakistan Army announced on August 1, 2022 that personnel would contribute their share of two days of rations for people affected by flooding in several parts of Pakistan.

Rations for Flood-Affected Communities

According to an Inter-Services Public Relations statement reported at the time, the relief supplies included flour, sugar, rice, tea, cooking oil, milk powder and pulses.

Army formations were to distribute the supplies to affected communities in Balochistan, Sindh, southern Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Wider Relief Operations

Military personnel were also participating in rescue and relief operations as heavy rains and flooding affected different parts of the country.
