Bleeding or hemorrhage, There are two types of blood vessels in the human body. One is that which receives blood from the heart and carries it to different parts of the body. These are calle arteries and the other is that which collects blood from different parts of the body.

These are called veins, the blood flows faster inside the arteries and is under considerable pressure and the velocity of the blood in the veins decreases and it moves under very little pressure, Difference between vein and arterial blood flow:




So when an artery is cut or injure, blood starts to flow, then it comes out in the form of a fountain and according to the movements of the heart, there are fluctuations in it.

The color is bright red and comes from the tip of the wound that is closest to the heart, so when this type of bleeding is to be stoppe, pressure will be applie to the end of the wound that is closest to the heart.

The blood that begins to flow from a vein injury or rupture does not come out like a fountain nor does it fluctuate, but it continues to flow at the same speed. It flows from the end of the wound that stays away from the heart, so when this type of bleeding is to be stoppe, pressure should be applie to the end of the wound that is away from the heart.




Treatment:

1. When there is excessive bleeding, raise the point of the bed so that the level of vinegar is below the normal level of the body.

2. Do not give any nourishing, hot or strong medicine or food till the bleeding is stoppe properly and the injured person. Is out of danger, otherwise the blood will start flowing again. There will be no problem in drinking a little water. And if a little glucose is adde in this water, it will be beneficial.




3۔ If the patient is restless, the use of opium is very useful. If it is not available, then give the patient two sleeping pills or two logical tablets.

4. When the blood flow is stoppe, pay attention to the general condition of the wound and the injured person. Fill with a cloth and apply a bandage over it which has been soake in a disinfectant solution. And usually 20% solution of caryalic acid is use.

If it is not present then sprinkle uric acid on the wound. Tie a bandage. If it is not present, boil a muslin cloth in water and cover the wound with an upper bandage. Keep the injured limb above the normal level of the body and until the injured person shows any unusual pain. Do not open the bandage for three days. Take the patient to the hospital or to a doctor as soon as possible.
