Lunch was arranged in honor of the General. The participants of the event presented various proposals for enhancing mutual cooperation, including Pak-China relations.
Suggestions were made by the participants to increase the number of free trade and air travel between Pak and China. Chinese Consul General Xiao Shereen said that the C-Pac project is a testament to the excellent relations between the two countries.
China should set up new industries in Pakistan, including new textiles, machinery and footwear, which would increase employment. He further said that trade between neighboring countries and China reached another 125 billion in November 2021 while the volume of trade with Pakistan was less than that.
However, China should further promote trade with Pak. So that the relations between the two countries are more cordial. On the other hand, Russia’s Consul General in Pakistan Andrei Fedorov confirmed the talks led by former Prime Minister Imran Khan on providing cheap gas and oil to Pak.
Oil trade boomed during the former prime minister’s visit to Russia. Debate restrictions could affect trade relations with Pakistan. “The new Pakistani government is sensible. We hope we will deal better with trade and oil purchases,” he said.
