The Covid-19 spread is now past a year and a half with the origin still unknown. The pandemic spread in Dec 2019 from a Chinese city, Wuhan. This respiratory disease initially started raising the question of its origin. This belief leading to conspiring leak theories about the Coronavirus from the Wuhan laboratory. The theory initially didn’t get much attention. However, now the Wuhan lab leak theory is gaining traction among people. Lately, the President of the United States ordered investigation to look at the possibility of the spread.


Tracing the Origin of Coronavirus

The suspicion of Coronavirus leak links to the central laboratory in the city of Wuhan. The Wuhan Institute of Virology was studying Coronavirus in bats. The Wuhan lab leak deems as an accidental or otherwise deliberate action to pursue certain agenda. Many believe that the virus escapes the lab accidentally and spread in the wet market. The wet market in Huanan was the first place where the cluster of cases detected. However, some claim that the virus is unaltered rather than an engineered disease.

However, the president of the US again ordered investigating the cause of the spread. The report is intended to know whether the spread began as a lab accident or by human contact with an infected animal. Some scientists are now dubious about the lab leak theory of the Coronavirus diseases. A classified intelligence report of the US suggests that three scientists were under treatment in December 2019.



Earlier this year, a WHO-appointed team of scientists visited the Wuhan laboratory. Following the visit to the laboratory. The report concludes the odds of error or accident as highly unlikely. However, many scientists have rejected the report, suggesting the lack of natural and other factors. The scientific community doesn’t support the idea of the spread as a natural consequence. There is not sufficient data to reach any conclusion. The cause of the spread has sparked controversies swirling all around the internet about the origin of Covid-19.
