Shaheen Afridi overtakes India’s Jasprit Bumrah in Test rankings.
Pakistani fast bowler got third position with 836 points, Indian fast bowler got fourth position with 828 points. Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has moved up one place to the third place in the world in the ICC Test bowler rankings.
Shaheen has overtaken India’s Jasprit Bumrah who has slipped one place to fourth. In the first test match played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Shaheen took four wickets in the first innings. And was out due to injury in the second innings.
Pakistan took advantage of the situation to register a historic victory in the first Test of the two-match series. Shaheen’s fellow opening bowler Hasan Ali has also moved up a notch to 13th in the Test rankings.
Hasan took 3 wickets including two in the first innings. And one in the second innings in the match and played an important role in Pakistan’s victory. Sri Lanka’s Parbat Jayasuriya jumped 11 places to 44th as he took five wickets in an innings for the third time in his second Test match.
Jayasuriya troubled the Pakistani batsmen and took 9 wickets in the match. In the new Test rankings, Australia’s Pete Cummins is first with 891 points. India’s Ravichandran Ashwin is second with 842 points, Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi is third with 836 points, India’s Jasprit Bumrah is fourth with 828 points, South Africa’s Pacers are fourth. Kagiso Rabada is fourth.
5th with 818 points, England’s veteran fast bowler James Anderson 6th with 811 points, New Zealand’s Kyle Jamieson 7th with 788 points, West Indies’ Kemar Roach 8th with 756 points, New Zealand’s Neil Wagner 74 points are at the 9th position with And Australia’s Mitchell Starc is at the 10th position with 739 points.
