Executive Committee of the OIC Calls to Reach International Court and UN Agencies

The Executive Committee of the OIC held a meeting to discuss Israeli atrocities in Palestine. OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) meeting highlights the latest developments of the recent conflict. The Extra Ordinary meeting conducted at the FM (Foreign Minister) level on the 16th of May 2021. Recalling the UN resolution and protocols of the Geneva Convention, the meeting emphasizing the applicability of protocols. The OIC members expressed their concern regarding the relentless blitz on the people and land of Palestine. Illegal occupation and attack on civilians are barbaric examples of oppression by Israel. Following the developments, the OIC alliance demands ceasing the attack effective immediately.


OIC Reviewing the Developments in Palestine

The executive committee of OIC is monitoring the developments in occupied Palestine. The aggression of occupying forces in East Jerusalem, particularly in Al Quds and Al Shareef result in hundreds of people suffering. While addressing the current Israeli terrorism, the executive committee condemns the attack on innocent Palestinians. Also, the committee warns of the potential risk of instability which questions regional peace. The Israeli aggression on defenseless civilians is clearly a violation of UN resolution and basic human rights. This illegal colonization of Israel on Palestinian land is a clear violation of the convention provisions.

Member countries of the OIC define their stance on the current barbarism by Israeli forces. The foreign ministers of Islamic Countries clearly stated their concerns. Saying, Israel alone will be responsible for the consequences of their actions. However, failing to stop this aggression would also result in terrible consequences for the region. The international community’s silence firing the uproar by many people around the world. The bombing on Sunday, in Gaza left hundreds of civilians injured and dead. More than 140 civilians are dead including 30 children and women. The OIC calls for actions through international courts and UN agencies.



Besides condemning the attack, the OIC calls for all forms of support for the people of Palestine. Also, salute the steadfastness of the Palestinian people despite being defenseless.
