High speed diesel was price at Rs 174.15 and kerosene at Rs 155.56. The Finance Minister said that billions of rupees were lost. Rs 55 billion has been spent in 15 days.

Finance Minister Muftah Ismail while addressing a news conference said that due to the policies of the previous government, inflation is facing today. The previous government fixed the prices of petrol and diesel.

He said that both rich and poor were benefiting from petrol subsidy.

Finance Minister Muftah Ismail said that the Prime Minister has taken a tough decision in view of the economic situation. Negotiations with the IMF are making positive progress.
