The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) provides an official online service for checking the progress of an Emirates ID application. Applicants should use the authority’s current website rather than relying on unofficial forms or instructions copied from older articles.

What you need

The official ICP ID Card Status service asks for an application number, also known as a PRAN, or an Emirates ID number for renewal and replacement applications. Enter the requested identifier directly on the government page and select the status-check option.

Other official ways to track a request

ICP’s official frequently asked questions also describes tracking through a personal ICP account under My Applications or My Requests, through the Smart Services website, or through the authority’s call centre.

Service requirements, documents and charges can change. Check the relevant service page before submitting an application or making a payment. Do not send an Emirates ID number, application number or payment information to an unverified website or person.

About fines

An application-status inquiry is not the same as a fine inquiry. The correct authority and process can depend on the type of fine and the emirate involved. Use the appropriate official government or police service and verify the web address before entering personal information.
