What is Wahy in Islam

What is Wahy in Islam? According to an Islamic belief, Wahy is the message or inspiration that comes from Allah to his Chosen people. Allah has revealed his all commands and messages in Quran. Messengers used to receive Allah’s message in different ways. Now, lets discuss what is wahy according to Islam and its purpose.

There are two  types of Wahy:

Through the ‘Wahi Jalee,’ the entire Qur’an was revealed. Words of Allah that the Prophet (saws) acknowledged was under the Precise Command of his Lord to repeat.

Aside from the Glorious Quran’s Precise and Distinct Message. However, the Lord Most High conveyed various messages or inspirations directly to the Prophet’s (saws) heart through the ‘Wahi Khafi’. Although the ‘Wahi Khafi’ were also direct inspirations from Allah to the Prophet (saws). And your Lord directed the Bee to establish its cells in the hills, assigning duties to both living and non-living things. Sur ah Nahl 16:68, Qur’an

Purpose of Wahy

Believe in oneness of Allah

“And there is only one God for you. He, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, is the one god.” Surah 2:163 of the Qur’an. “He is Allah, (the) One,” say (O Muhammad, may Allah respect Him and grant Him peace). Qur’an. 112:1 Sur ah Ikhlas

To lead humanity

However, the primary purpose of revelation is to lead individuals in the right direction. It is human nature to be readily misled, as Shaytan is an open enemy of all human beings, according to the Qur’an. 2:208 Sur ah Baqrah as a result, Allah revealed revelations to guide these people and keep them from going astray. “The Ramadan month in which was revealed the “Qur’an, a guidance” for mankind & clear proofs for the guidance & the Criterion (between right & wrong),” Allah (Glory be to Him) says in the Qur’an. Qur’an. 2:185 in Surah Baqrah. Because Qur’an is the only book for which Allah (Glory be to Him) claimed responsibility for protecting, it is now the ultimate revelation and there will be no additional revelations after this.

All bogus gods must be rejected.

“Worship Allah and do not associate with Him.” Qur’an. 4:36 Sura h Nisa

False deities and false gods must be avoid since Allah (Glory be to Him) is the only One worthy of worship. The Qur’an also forbids a person or object other than Allah from possessing divine attributes (Glory be to Him).
