Kite festivals are celebrated annually in various regions across the globe. In countries like Pakistan and India, the kite festival known as “Basant” is celebrated during the spring season on Basant Panchami day in Punjab. This festival typically falls on the fifth day of the lunar month of Magha according to the Punjabi calendar.

But in the present time, the government of Pakistan has banned kite flying because of its fatal effects like falling from the roof in carelessness, cutting of neck, electrocution etc. If you were caught flying kites by police, there should be serious consequences that you will face such as imprisonment, fine etc. Nevertheless, despite of all this, people celebrated Basant greatly.
